Gabay Pinoy may collect information you choose to provide through optional features such as feedback, community or survey submissions, support messages, alert preferences, and app settings. We may also collect basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the app.

Information Stored on Your Device

The app may store saved calculators, saved forms, saved resources, preferences, history, and document vault items on your device. On-device information stays on your device unless you choose to use a feature that submits or syncs information to our systems or a service provider.

Optional App Permissions

Gabay Pinoy may request camera or photo library access for the on-device document vault, where any images you add stay on your device. The app may request notification permission for reminders and alerts. These permissions are optional and can be managed in your device settings.

Optional Submitted Information

When you use optional features such as feedback, the community Q&A, or the salary survey, the information you submit is sent to our backend service provider to operate that feature, respond to you, troubleshoot issues, and improve product quality. Some optional features (such as an in-app assistant or a document scanner) are not enabled in the current version; if they are offered in a future update, any information you submit to them would be processed to generate a result, and this policy would be updated.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide app features, save user preferences, respond to support requests, send optional alerts, improve reliability, prevent abuse, monitor app performance, and comply with legal obligations.

Service Providers

We may use service providers such as Supabase (backend and database), Expo (app builds and push notification delivery), app store platforms, and hosting providers to operate Gabay Pinoy. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us. We do not use third-party advertising networks.

Sharing and Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, when required by law, to protect the rights and security of DataSyntrix LLC and users, or with your direction or consent.

Retention and Security

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for app operations, support, security, legal obligations, and product improvement. We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

Gabay Pinoy is a general utility app and is not directed to children under the age required by applicable privacy laws. Users who are under the required age should use the app only with permission from a parent or guardian.

Gabay Pinoy is not a government agency and is not officially affiliated with Philippine government offices. Calculators, guides, forms, and hotline references are provided for convenience and should be verified with official sources or qualified professionals before important decisions.
